Band
Coen van der Horst - Vocals
Coen wasn't infused with what he calls 'good music' until he was 19. That's when he caught a glimpse of Beatles movie 'A Hard Days Night', and noticed he knew almost every song. Turns out his parents had played them to Coen and his brothers when they were kids. This (re)encounter sparked Coen's interest. He absorbed every Beatles album, and rolled into other great bands and albums.
It was also around this time that he started writing his own songs. But, like most artists, the confidence to play or record these songs was still far away. It took until the summer of 2004 for him to record his first demo: These Songs I Wrote. After this, things started rolling.
Honing his craft for many years, he decided in 2009 that it was time to properly start giving this music thing a try, and started to record what would become Sidewalk's debut album: Tuesday's A Day To Remember.
Marvin Zeelig - Drums
Marvin is in the band for two reasons: his amazing drum skills and his very dry sense of humor. He's been Sidewalk's drummer for quite some time now. Although he likes to make jokes about how much he hates 'Connecticut', other band members have caught him singing along to it on many occasions.
Working in retail, he is also Sidewalk's snappiest dresser. Just don't ever tell him that.
Evert Zeevalkink - Guitar
Evert is Sidewalk's multi-guitarist. That doesn't mean he can play multiple guitars at once, but he can produce sounds out of one guitar that make it seem there's more than one.
Having heroes such as The Edge, Jonny Buckland and Bill Frisell, Evert likes to play as much as possible. He's a graduate of Utrecht's conservatory, having graduated with honors. He's a session guitarist, studio guitarist, and works in theater. Basically, anywhere he can pick up his guitar.

Sander Kalmeijer - Bass
How Sander came to play in Sidewalk is a very 2011 story: via a Twittersearch. Always keeping his eye open on new bands, he found Coen's call for help on Twitter, and subsequently contacted the band. He was hired a week later. Why? Well, he graduated from Utrecht's conservatory. He performed with James Morrison and James Blunt. And he's a pretty swell guy.

Other peeps
Arno Krabman - Producer
Arno met Coen on a day for starting musicians, and after he heard some of Sidewalk's earlier demos, he wouldn't let Coen leave the room until he promised Arno could produce the album.
Working out of Arno's own Graveland Studio, all three EP's were recorded between 2009 and 2011. Arno's role in the album is not one to be ignored: besides playing guitar and bass on every song, he also turned every song into the best it could possibly be.

Ludwig Witt - Drums
Ludwig drummed on Sidewalk's EP Have Heart, Will Travel, and thus has helped on shaping Tuesday's A Day To Remember. Hailing from Sweden, he was producer Arno's drummer of choice, and seeing him play, it's not hard to understand why.

Maarten Molema - Drums
Maarten kickstarted his career as the drummer for famous Dutch band Room Eleven, and has been a freelance drummer since 2009. He drummed on They Say The World Is Turning, having only learned the songs the night before recording.
